Royal blue wedding

I'm missing out again from another wedding celebration in the family. My school term just doesn't give me the chance to be with the family. But here is a good reason to show my creativity, the work of my hands, once again.
This time it's a book card in royal blue theme, but the only true colour I could have is through the satin ribbon used for the tie. I still managed to pull this together and I'm pretty sure my niece will be so impressed with it.

And so here is wishing the new couple the most blessed happy years ahead.

50 in a faux box

Another birthday coming up. So I have been thinking how to put together this faux box and make it not just as a box but a card that will make people talking. I like the idea of the faux box, I've made two so far and have enjoyed the process, so I'm going for a faux box instead of the exploding box.
It has to be gold as it depicts 50 years better. Making use of the flower shop stamp set and some of my framelit die and a couple of punches, this is what it ended up with.
The dimension is 8" x 5 1/2" and I think it looks quite good and will have plenty of room for the rest of the family  to write  messages.

Isn't this card adorable?

Faux box with vellum flower brooch

I have been intrigued on how a faux box is made. The embellishments used to make it stunning is just the icing of the cake. I decided to make one based on Tanya Bell of Queensland Australia, a stampin up! demonstrators. All the dimension is based on her tutorial but the brooch is my version of vellum crunched flower.
I think this goes well together and would make a lovely gift to family and friends.

The simplest present that money can't buy is a present made with love and passion.
