Holly berry Christmas wreath

I challenge myself to make this wreath card. This looks great and the only challenge I face was to make sure each quarter holly leaves created the closest perfect circle I can make. I really think this looks simple but very stunning.

To enhance the card, half pearls and rhinestones can be used to embellish  in addition to the glitter glue which gives that random glitter and shine around the wreath.

More landscape Christmas card

The theme is the colour blue. With the combination of Holiday scenes and Thoughful Branches set, the outcome is stunning. To complete the scene, Holiday Homes Santa 's sleigh goes well with the full moon image.

I really think this looks great with the silver ribbon to bring more sparkle to the card.
A similar setting was used in the next card which uses Lovely as a tree set.

I think gray goes well with blue.

Merrimouse

I thought this stamp set is for fun and I have only just used one. I will be exploring the others shortly. I have combined it with the hollies and thoughtful branches, it was fun making the card alive by adding colour to it. It's something that can also be just created in a mono theme if you wish. The sentiments with the set is also great.

Don't the mice look adorable and having fun.

Trees from thoughtful branches

As I mentioned in my earlier post trees and landscape can also be put together from the stamp thoughtful branches. Here I created a combination of the landscaped scene and I think the outcome is stunning.

The excitement of putting the scenery is undescribebable. It's very satisfying to see the detail of the trees. I have combined the canopy colour to make the tree look a lot fuller. I also injected the tree stamp in one of last year's set.

Hollies for Christmas

Another set that I have explored is the set with hollies. It can be bought as a bundle with the punch. I like the set as it comes in a photopolymer stamp and it's great for layering technique. Here are some of the cards I made.

Of the three designs I like first one as it's so stunningly red and red is me.

Beautiful hydrangeas

I am back to creating fun cards. I have found a little bit of time to sit down and create. First these hydrangeas are just stunning. The bundle is called thoughtful branches. It has lots of bits and pieces you can put together to create from flowers, trees, landscape and the list can go on. These layering of the cut foliage makes the most stunning aspect of the card. I'll be creating more of this thinlit to explore its use.

And so here they are. The pink hydrangea is so fun.

Textured card

I have been learning this technique - adding texture to a card using embossing folder. I saw this technique done by another Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator and I loved the idea of adding texture to the background. So have played around using the woodland embossing folder and used various foliage on the lower part of the card to give that forest effect.
I loved this idea so much that I also made a card with the plane from the Soring high stamp set to give that height effect.
So here they are:

I think these finished product looks rather cute. To learn how to make this type of card, come and attend my "make a card" session at a low cost and take the card with you.

Miniature potted flower birthday card

I'm still in the mood of making potted flower cards, but this time I'm making a miniature potted flower.
Lots of ideas to choose from but I love the idea of a deep scope shape flower. I think how this flower complements with the combination of foliage makes the finished product so cute and adorable.
The flower is attached firmly into the oasis in site the cube shape pot.

Do you thinks it's an adorable miniature greeting card?

Potted flower retirement card

Here I go again, another farewell card. This time it's a retirement occasion.  I love the idea of a bouquet but I've explored bouquet card design extensively, so I decided to make it look like a potted plant.
The planter is in a cube and an oasis is placed inside the cube to hold the flowers firmly. The stem is created with a florist wire to make it strong support when pushing it down into the oasis. The foliage is using mixtures of leaves from the Botanical garden Framelits.

The pot is finished off with a silk ribbon tied around it. I just love the combination of the flowers and foliage.

Cascading farewell card

For someone leaving, it's always a tradition to receive a leaving card. Cards can be just something simple and nonexistent specially if the leaving present becomes the focus. So for a special someone leaving, a bouquet card will make a keepsake card.
I have always loved the special effect a cascading card can show. It's layered effect shows a dimension that gives a naturalistic impression. I have also included 4 pockets insert to hold 12 tags for individual messages. The tags are embellished with ribbon and shimmer ties. This allows the recipient to pull out the tags. The tags also gives that extra fullness in amongst the flowers and foliage.
I have enjoyed the challenge this card had given me but the finished product has given me so much satisfaction that the recipient will surely enjoy.

Looking from the top of the cascading card, providing the layered look and how the pockets insert keeps the tags nicely tacked in.

Production bouquets

MIt's the final year of my formclass in high school this year and my budding performers will be performing tonight at Spiers centre, Happy Days. I am so proud of my lovely girls who are dedicated and stunning dancers and musicians. So to show them how great they are for tonight's opening night I made these beautiful mini bouquets. Hoping to have a pictorial with the group after the show.

I am looking forward to seeing the show.

Tropical foliage

I love the new thinlit  die featured in the occasional  catalogue for this January to May  months. It enables me to show how tropical flora makes a very special co position. Here is one of the many variations of my tropical theme card.
It reminds me of the hot weather that makes plants so bright and green.

I'm so happy with intricate foliage shapes which make things look realistic.

Baby shower card

It's been a long long time since I've put in an entry in my blog. Holidays has certainly kept me tied up with lots of things.
The card is not for a definite gender so the colours used are more of a neutral colour that can be used for a baby boy or baby girl. Also thought of making a rectangular crib. With the idea of the crib as a centre piece for an exploding box the next challenge I show to embellish it with the baby theme. Owl builder was used to make the cute owls and some beads were added in the floor base to make it look like toys.
So happy with the finished product.
